Meet Your Child’s German Teacher
Learning a new language can feel overwhelming for many children — especially if they are shy, unsure, or don’t know where to start.

That’s where I come in.

Hi, I’m Nadine - a certified German teacher and founder of Worldlanguage Explorers.

I’ve spent over 15 years teaching languages in Germany, France, and Canada, including preparing students for final exams and supporting learners at all levels.

Today, I help children and teens around the world learn German in a way that actually works through speaking, interaction, and real-life topics, not only worksheets.

Our teaching approach

Most children don’t struggle with languages — they struggle with how languages are taught.

In my classes, students:

  • start speaking from day one
  • learn through games, role-play, and real conversations
  • build confidence step by step
  • feel safe, supported, and encouraged

Even shy learners quickly find their voice.

I specialize in working with children and teens, from complete beginners to intermediate learners.

My classes are a great fit for:

  • homeschool families
  • beginners with no prior German
  • teens who want to actually use the language
  • families preparing for travel or relocation
I know that every child learns differently, and that confidence is just as important as correctness.

My goal is to create a space where students feel comfortable, supported, and motivated to try,
because that’s where real learning happens.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Does my child need any prior knowledge of German?

No, many of my students start as complete beginners.
Lessons are designed so children can understand and start speaking from the very first class, even without any background.

Q. What age groups do you teach?

I primarily work with children and teens (typically ages 9–17).
Lessons are always adapted to the learner’s age, level, and confidence.

Q. What if my child is shy or nervous?

That’s completely normal — and very common.

I create a supportive, low-pressure environment where students can:

- participate at their own pace
- use chat if they prefer at first
- build confidence step by step

Most shy learners open up quickly once they feel comfortable.

Q. Do parents need to speak German?

Not at all.

Everything is explained in a way that is easy to follow for both children and parents, even if you have no prior knowledge of German.

Q. How are your classes different from school lessons?

In many traditional settings, students focus heavily on grammar and worksheets.

In my classes, students:

- speak from the beginning
- learn through interaction and real-life topics
- use games, role-play, and conversation

The goal is confidence and communication, not memorization.

Q. What technology or materials do we need?

You only need:

- a stable internet connection
- a computer or tablet
- a microphone (camera optional after check-in)

All materials are provided — no textbooks required.
Our educators

Meet our experienced educators

Ms. Nadine is a phenomenal teacher! My ten-year-old has been taking one-on-one lessons with her for some time now and she absolutely loves her classes! Nadine is always upbeat, highly encouraging, patient, and extremely clear and thorough in her teaching. Each class includes a mixture of conversation, aural and written comprehension, writing, and grammar — all introduced through many different approaches. We feel very happy and lucky to have found such a wonderful and experienced teacher as Nadine!
