Personalized French tutoring with a highly experienced, certified language teacher with 20+ years of teaching experience and a Master’s-level education. Individual support in grammar, speaking, writing, schoolwork, and exam preparation, tailored to each learner’s level and goals.
This individualized French tutoring program supports learners across a range of grade levels and proficiency levels, from beginner through advanced. Instruction is guided by CEFR language standards (A1–C1) and adapted to each learner’s current school curriculum, proficiency level, and academic goals.
The curriculum develops proficiency in the four core language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing, while systematically strengthening grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and accuracy.
Depending on the learner’s level, instruction may include present, past and future tenses; sentence structure and word order; pronouns; adjective agreement; complex sentences; conditionnel and subjonctif; reading and listening comprehension; structured writing; conversation and presentations; text analysis; and expressing and supporting opinions.
Lessons may also provide targeted support for current coursework, assignments, assessments, presentations, and exam preparation. Regular review and individualized feedback help identify gaps, strengthen academic language skills, and support progression toward increasingly independent and confident use of French.
No prior knowledge of French is necessary for tutoring lessons.
Learners should have access to their current French textbook and/or school materials, a notebook or paper, and a pen or pencil. A reliable internet connection, a device with a working microphone and camera, and a quiet place to study are recommended for successful participation. Additional learning materials and practice activities will be provided as needed.
Learners are encouraged to spend approximately 15–30 minutes between tutoring sessions reviewing vocabulary, completing short grammar or writing activities, reading or listening to French, or working on current school assignments. Additional practice is individualized and may vary depending on the learner’s level, academic goals, and upcoming assessments.
Instruction is aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), A1–B2, and adapted to the learner’s grade level, current proficiency, and academic goals.
Learners will develop their ability to understand spoken and written French, communicate effectively in conversations and presentations, and produce increasingly accurate and well-structured written texts.
Learners will build and apply knowledge of French vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, verb forms, pronunciation, and language conventions appropriate to their proficiency level.
Learners will use French to describe, narrate, explain, compare, express opinions, justify ideas, and respond to a variety of authentic and academic texts and situations.
Learners will develop strategies to interpret unfamiliar language, revise and improve their own work, recognize recurring errors, and communicate with increasing independence, accuracy, and confidence.
